Industry 4.0
Industry 4.0, often defined as the fourth industrial revolution, stands out as basic element for all Future Engineers Training, whatever their specialties.
It is based on the convergence of technologies, in particular:
- Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the widespread use of sensors.
- Big Data and analytics.
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- LPWAN networks for machine-to-machine (M2M) and the Internet of things (IoT).
- The convergence of IT and TO (operational technologies).
- Tactile and voice interfaces, and augmented reality systems.
- Advanced robotics.
- Additive manufacturing.
Industry 4.0 encompasses all emerging technologies that allow for easy communication between machines and humans and machines to Machine communication which allow an optimization of manufacturing processing
In order to familiarize our students and to encourage them to follow innovations, EPI is organizing a day on Industry 4.0, in the presence of specialists who will be there to answer all of our students' questions. Be numerous on April 12th, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. at Lecture hall 1 (Amphi 1)
